Acting Lieutenant Paul Yang Announced New $1000 Scholarships

HMONG ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT GIVING THE GIFT OF EDUCATION.

Last year, Acting Lieutenant Paul Yang led the Hmong community to the San Diego City Hall to receive the Hmong Heritage Month in front of hundred of thousand San Diegans and Hmong via new outlets and social sites such as YouTube, Twitters, and Facebook. This year, he is helping to lead the charge in giving the gift of education through his (and his wife) generous financial donation.

With joy we are happy to share that Acting Lieutenant Paul Yang announced that he will establish 2 scholarships (each $500) in the field of Law Enforcement. Please join me in thanking him and his wife, Janet.

Though young in age, but wise, our scholarship recipient Cody Lee wrote this: We have come to the United States to achieve a better life and for the new generations of Hmong, but how can we achieve this if we are not well educated?
