Hmong in San Diego
For more than a decade, many Hmong families have resettled in San Diego.The Hmong people are very proud to be part of this community. Hmong will continue to make their effort to become more productive members of this community.
Community Services
Each year, members of the Hmong community in San Diego elect a committee to organize the Hmong New Year Celebration.
Each clan elects a Clan Leader to represent them at meetings and to lead the clan members.
An Internal Affairs Committee is organized to help solve problems between the community members.
A Community Relation Committee is organized to have a better communication within the community and to establish a close relationship with other ethnic communities to better understand the culture differences.
A Committee is organized to work with the Indochinese Storefront to develop trainings for the Hmong people about the American legal systems.
Goals
The goals of the Lao Hmong Family Association of San Diego are to preserve the Hmong culture and tradition and to create a new leadership role in the community.

Sports and Entertainments
Throughout the year and during New Year Celebration, the Hmong community in San Diego organizes various sports activities and instrumental music entertainments to keep the Hmong people from being homesick.
Education Committee
An Education Committee is organized to provide counseling and supports for the Hmong parents and children to continue their education.
Social Welfare
A Social Welfare Committee is organized to meet the needs of those who are in needs of material supports.
Tradition and Culture
Two Committees are organized to provide support and guidance to the Hmong in two different areas, the traditional Hmong culture and Western culture.
